As Featured on The Stir

My DIY bench project was featured on The Stir.  Thank you Sheri for liking my idea so much as to write about it.  It's pretty exciting to get noticed by another cool blog. Thank you to my neighbor Tracy for passing my project on to Sheri.  Ah, networking moms...I love it!

I took better pictures for the Stir than I did for my own blog.  I thought I should post those on here as well.

I love the bench, and I love the green and brown bag. Where did you find the bag?

Thanks! The bag is from Reese Li, it's actually a diaper bag.

I got some of these legs and want to make a bench like this. Can you tell me how you attached the legs to the wood? Have they loosened any over the ensuing months? Thanks!

Julie, Hi I used wood screws and screwed them right in. They have not come out at all or loosed either. The wood I used is pretty thick and hefty. The legs have holes in them ready for the screws to. I did however use the same hairpin legs on an Ikea table top for another project and the screws popped out quite easily after a while. However, I'm not sure I used wood screws. Good luck with your bench. It's a great fun project.
